Biography
Dr. Kristi Anderson is the University's inaugural Chief Strategy Officer. In her role she will engage senior management to ensure organizational alignment and support the ongoing strategic planning process. She will also work to create and build external partnerships to explore options for growth. She joined the administration in December 2022.
Prior to joining UL Çàɬֱ²¥, Dr. Anderson served as the Director of Medical Education for LSU School of Medicine, Çàɬֱ²¥ campus for 17 years. There, she provided direction and oversight for institutional and program accreditation, developing policy and program management for the academic teaching hospital and its residency and fellowship programs. She served as the campus ombudsperson, equity and inclusion catalyst and also created and chaired a grant program for healthcare disparities research for the LSU School of Medicine. This grant program provided seed money for interested applicants to identify methods to eradicate healthcare disparities within the training hospitals, clinics and communities.
She also served as adjunct faculty for Tulane School of Medicine and California Institute of Integral Studies. She developed and taught courses that discussed critical areas of medicine/healthcare and identities (race, gender and ability), inclusion, equity, and transformative and transformational leadership practices.

Dr. Anderson's research interests are in determination of quality and fit for African Americans in medical schools; healthcare disparities; transformation and change theories.
