FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS)

After your FAFSA form is submitted and processed, you’ll receive an email with instructions for accessing an online copy of your FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS). Your FSS is an electronic or paper document that summarizes the information you reported on your FAFSA form. It includes your estimated eligibility for a Federal Pell Grant and federal student loans, your Çàɬֱ²¥ Aid Index (SAI), and whether you’ve been selected for verification.

When you get your FSS, review it carefully to make sure it’s correct and complete. We will use your information to determine your eligibility for federal — and possibly non-federal — financial aid. We might ask you to verify the accuracy of the data you provide on the FAFSA, so you need to be sure the information is accurate.

Verification & Additional Information Requests

About 30% of FAFSA applications are selected for a verification process each year.

Based on the results of your FAFSA, we might need to collect additional information and/or documents from you to finalize your aid for the year. Many types of aid cannot be credited to your student account until all application requirements are satisfied. Respond to any request for information within 15 days.
