Raginā€™ CajunsĀ® Waffle returns for limited run during football season

University of Louisiana at ĒąÉ¬Ö±²„ supporters can get fired up for the upcoming football season ā€“ and College Colors Day on Friday ā€“ with the reappearance of Viva La Waffleā€™s Raginā€™ CajunsĀ® Waffle.

The Raginā€™ CajunsĀ® Waffle features a cane pepper jelly-glazed fried chicken breast topped with melted pepper jack cheese and crispy jalapeƱo strips. Viva La Waffle, a food truck turned brick-and-mortar restaurant, will offer the spirited waffle for a limited run this football season.

"The University is excited to once again partner with a local business owned and operated by an alum for this tasty, one-of-a-kind creation that's sure to appeal to Ragin' Cajuns ĒąÉ¬Ö±²„,ā€ said Leslie Saloom, UL ĒąÉ¬Ö±²„ā€™s associate director of Trademark Licensing.

The Raginā€™ CajunsĀ® Waffle will go on sale Friday, in time for ĒąÉ¬Ö±²„ to enjoy one before the Louisiana Raginā€™ Cajuns square off against Northwestern State on Saturday at Cajun Field.

Viva La Waffle is located at 101 Liberty Ave. in ĒąÉ¬Ö±²„; the restaurant also has a location on campus, in Agnes Edwards Hallā€™s food court.
